Mercedes is attempting to revive interest in its top-of-the-line SLR by chopping the top off of the 200+ mph supercar. The Mercedes/McLaren Roadster will have a carbon fiber top available in three different colors with improved chassis stiffening and no loss in performance. Taking aim at Lamborghini's Murcielago LP640 Roadster, Mercedes claims 0-62 mph will come in at 3.8 seconds. Read More »

Executives with Shelby Automobiles have announced that the company will transform consumer owned 2007 and 2008 Ford Shelby GT500's into fire breathing "Super Snake" coupes for $27,995.00. Despite a shift in ownership, Dodge is in for the long haul in the horsepower war with Chevy. The new 2008 Viper SRT 10 steps up with 600 hp. This is a significant increase over the current Corvette Z06's 505 hp. Expect Chevy to up the ante with its Blue Devil Z06 Corvette, rumored to have anywhere from 600 hp to just over 700 hp, but Dodge will be first to market.
